Child Safe Blinds

Our blinds are designed and manufactured with safety in mind. They come with free child safety devices that are quick to install and easy to use.  Depending on the types of blinds, these may include breakaway chain safety devices, chain tidy devices or cord tidy cleats. 

As members of the British Blind and Shutter Association, we suppport the 'Make It Safe' campaign to promote window blind safety in homes, commercial buildings and public buildings.

 

Make Your Existing Blinds Safer

All our child safety devices can be purchased here to make an existing blind safer. 

 

 

General Safety Advice

  • Keep chain controls/cords out of reach of children
  • Move cots and furniture away from the blind's controls/cords
  • Do not tie cords together
  • Make sure cords do not twist and create a loop
  • Install child safety devices according to instructions and regulations
  • Consider blinds that are 'safe by design' whereby blinds are not operated by chain controls/cords but are wand-operated, tensioned blinds, or motorised blinds.
