Sunscreen is a high performance fabric with many technical attributes.  It cuts around 95% of the sun's UV (ultraviolet) and IR (infrared) light.  UV is responsible for fading fabrics whilst IR creates heat build up.

Sunscreen roller blinds significantly reduce the sun's glare whilst still allowing light through. The effect is similar to putting on a pair of sunglasses.  The fabric has an open weave design that allows a view out whilst still providing privacy.  Sunscreen blinds are sometimes referred to as one way blinds.

Sunscreen blinds are ideal for south-facing rooms where protection from the sun’s heat and glare is required.   They are often used in museums and galleries to protect artwork.  They are also ideal for offices and home studies as they help cut reflections on computer screens.

Our sunscreen rollers are hand made and come with a heavy brushed aluminium bottom bar and chrome chain control.
