For more demanding requirements, such as large blinds or commercial applications, the transformer powered motor is the right choice.

The Somfy Sonesse Motor System.

The 24 volt motor unit and radio receiver are housed within the tube of the roller blind and so can't be seen.

This powerful motor will operate roller blind sizes over 4 square metres with ease.  The motor is powered by a high quality transformer unit which is intended to be hidden within the wall or ceiling or other suitable recess and can be located up to 25m away from the blind.

The transformer is simple to install but as it uses a 240 volt supply this should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

The cost of the transformer motor option, including the motor unit, radio receiver, transformer and fixings, is £249.  (This is in addition to the cost of the roller blind.)
