Stacking heights for wood venetians

The 'stacking height' of a wood venetian is the height of the blind when it is fully pulled up and the slats are gathered together.  The longer the drop, the more slats there are and therefore the greater the stacking height.  It's important to consider the stacking height when the blind needs to be completely clear of the window when it is pulled up, e.g. if the window opens inwards.  The stacking height can be used to calculate where the top of the blind would need to be in such situations.

Valance styles for wood venetians

Each wood venetian is supplied with a matching wood valance which covers the blind mechanism. There are 3 styles of valance:

Standard valance
The valance is 2 cm longer than the width of the blind.

Valance with end returns
The valance is cut with 45 degree mitred ends and supplied with two end returns to make a pelmet style valance.

Uncut valance
The valance is supplied oversized and can be cut once the required length is known.  Two end returns are supplied.

Our Measuring Guide tells you which valance to select for the different fitting types.  Be sure to select the right type of valance for each of your blinds when ordering.  For any specific requirements please contact us.
