In these terms 'We' or 'Us' or 'Our' means The Blind Shop Limited. 'Goods' means the blinds, window furnishings or other products manufactured or supplied by The Blind Shop Ltd and the subject of the order made by You. 'You and Your' means the person ordering the Goods from The Blind Shop Limited.

All prices shown include VAT and for a limited period include free delivery. We accept MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, Switch, Visa credit and Visa debit cards. We also accept cheques made payable to The Blind Shop Ltd. (Orders paid by cheque will not be processed until funds are cleared.)

On receipt of your order we will process the payment manually. This allows us to check for any obvious errors. In the event of card refusal we will contact you as soon as possible but we will not be liable for any delay caused. Once we have received the payment a legally binding contract with you will arise.

A legally binding contract with you will arise once we have received payment for the goods. You cannot change or cancel your order as the goods are custom made to your requirements and these goods will not be resaleable by us. We will make all reasonable attempts to notice any irregularities in the orders we receive, but ultimately we cannot be responsible for any errors made by you. The rules set out in section 10 of the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 permit this exception.

If due to unforeseen circumstances we are unable to supply all the goods you have ordered we will contact you within 48 hours of receiving your order. You have the right to cancel your order if we are unable to complete the whole order. If we are unable to contact you we will assume that you would want the whole order to be cancelled and we will not make any part of your order or charge you any amount.

We are currently offering free delivery with all orders. This offer applies to all orders with delivery to an address within mainland UK.

Orders are processed, produced and ready to send out with our courier within 4 days of receipt. You can expect to receive your blinds within 7 days of placing your order. If you have a preference for the day of the week to expect your delivery please state this on your order in the notes section.

Standard free deliveries are made on weekdays between 9am and 5.30pm. Most of these deliveries occur during the morning but this cannot be guaranteed.

Please contact us for a price if you require delivery to a location outside mainland UK, a guaranteed date and/or time delivery, or a Saturday delivery.

All deliveries will require the signature of the customer. If our couriers are unable to make a delivery they will leave a calling card. You can then contact the courier to arrange one further free delivery attempt at a date that suits you. If on this second delivery attempt the couriers are again unable to make the delivery they will return your goods to their local depot for your collection. If you then do not collect your goods from their depot within 5 days the goods will be returned to The Blind Shop. We will then request a different delivery address from you and will require the payment of £20 to us to cover our costs and for the subsequent redelivery.

A free sample is available for all of our blinds. Our 50mm wood Venetians are made with real wood and therefore some variation in grain and colour occurs. Therefore the samples are only intended as an indication of the overall look of each blind.

Any card details entered on our website are encrypted through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This is shown by the padlock symbol (located to the right of the address bar on an Internet Explorer browser) and is also shown by the address bar beginning 'https' instead of 'http'.
Our 128 bit SSL certificate is provided by GeoTrust. An SSL encrypts the transmitted data and provides a secure connection between the customer and the online business. It also provides proof that our company details are as we have stated. It's seen as the industry standard for making safe transactions.

We take the security of personal details very seriously. We assure you that any information you provide to us will not be shared with other businesses or organisations. Once your order has been completed we will only ever contact you again if you have ticked the ‘keep me informed' box. Even then this will only be very occasionally with genuine offers! If you do not tick this box you will never hear from us again.
